Thai Baht
The baht (sign: เธฟ; code: THB) is the official currency of Thailand. It is divided into 100 satang and is commonly found in denominations of เธฟ20, เธฟ50, เธฟ100, เธฟ500, เธฟ1000 bills and 25, 50 satang ,เธฟ1, เธฟ2, เธฟ5, เธฟ10 coins. The currency is issued by the Bank of Thailand and the currency is one of the most frequently traded currencies on the foreign exchange market. Because the baht bears the portrait of royal family members, any verbal, physical, or written disrespect to the baht is against the law, which may include stepping on the currency, or writing, ripping or burning a banknote.
